Hadas Raviv
15 years ago, Hadas fell in love with natural language processing and the question of how language semantics can be represented computationally. Since then, she has explored related challenges in both industry and academia. The rise of very large language models, their success as well as their limitations, has led her to investigate human language acquisition and the relationships between data, models, machines and humans. As part of the 1KD project, she leads the computational effort to address some related questions. The project includes the development of a system that collects naturalistic, multimodal, very big data as well as the development of new deep models to explain the language acquisition process.
Hadas earned her PhD in Information Retrieval from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, and holds a BSc in Physics and Mathematics from the Hebrew University as well a Master's degree in Physics from Tel Aviv University.
