Catherine is broadly interested in how humans and artificial language models process information in language. She is currently studying how episodic memories are retrieved, integrated, and encoded during naturalistic language use. Her work combines methods from cognitive neuroscience, computational modeling, and NLP.

Catherine earned her PhD in EECS from UC Berkeley, where she studied neuroscience and NLP. She also holds a BSE in Computer Science from Princeton University.
